Position Overview:

Our growing team at Deep Labs is looking for an experienced VP of Engineering to work collaboratively with the core engineering team, designers, data scientists, and researchers in building our flagship products and features. We are looking for a VP of Engineering who will work with a team of experienced payments and signal intelligence experts in scaling the impact of our product offering.

What you will be doing: In this role, you bridge product, engineering, and business worlds as you oversee the development and engineering resources who design technologies with research scientists, software engineers, and product owners to deliver best-in-class products and solutions. 

About the role: As a key member of the engineering leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the engineering team, delivering for our family of next-generation products and tools for use by our internal and external clients across the globe, and our end-customers.


  • Lead and grow a world-class team
  • Be a leader of a critical part of Deep Labs senior engineering team and contribute to Deep Labs overall engineering platform strategy
  • Guide teams through tech choices in order to deliver resilient, highly-available and scalable services
  • Organize and coordinate engineering processes and cross-team engineering efforts
  • Instill an inclusive team culture that is both passionate and collaborative.


Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a quantitative discipline or other relevant fields with 10 years of relevant work experience in Engineering/ Computer Science and/or equivalent work experience. A Master’s degree is an added plus.


Required skills:

  • You have 10+ years of hands-on engineering management experience, preferably delivering a highly scalable service with billions of daily transactions
  • Experience managing and growing teams of 40+ people across the globe
  • Broad technical background spanning multiple areas among data products and visualization, data and behavioral analytics, advanced metrics, statistics, machine learning, causal methods, and data engineering and architecture.
  • Deep understanding of cloud technologies and the tradeoffs of developing applications that run in first-party data centers vs in public cloud
  • Experience in building and launching complex platforms at scale
  • Consistent track record of balancing long-term critical thinking with tactical execution of multiple development plans
  • High-growth technology company experience
  • Highly analytical with the ability to translate between strategic business decisions and their quantitative implications
  • Ability to think critically and objectively; excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions based on business demands
  • Thorough, great organizational skills, comfortable with ambiguity
